Elio Sullivan (They/Them/Theirs)

Elio Sullivan (they/them/theirs) is a Doctoral Student Trainee at And Still We Rise. Elio brings a deep commitment to collaborative, identity-affirming, and trauma-informed care. Their approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a belief in each person’s capacity for healing. Elio is particularly passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, and they bring lived experience and specialized clinical training to their work with gender-diverse communities.

Elio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s in Music and Human Learning from the University of Texas at Austin. After a fulfilling career as a music educator, they transitioned to the field of clinical psychology, earning a Master’s in Professional Psychology from William James College, where they are now completing their doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology.

Elio integrates psychodynamic, attachment-based, and third-wave behavioral approaches in their clinical work. They have experience working with adolescents, adults, and families across a range of settings, including McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute, where they support individuals navigating obsessive-compulsive disorder and related conditions. Elio especially enjoys working with family therapy clients, supporting relational healing and strengthening systems of care.

Outside of the therapy room, Elio enjoys playing music with friends, running, spending time in nature, and traveling. They are continually inspired by the intersection of creative expression, resilience, and personal transformation.
