Evelyn King, LICSW is a Psychotherapist for And Still We Rise.
Eve is an eclectic relational practitioner who blends psychoanalytical theories, self-psychology, narrative therapy, and parts work to carve a path of healing with clients together. Eve is adaptable and aims to cultivate safety so clients can grow their authentic self. Eve is eager to work with anyone and has a passion for LGBTQIA+, black identified individuals across the African diaspora. Eve is especially interested in working with those who have experienced the pain of relational trauma, generational trauma, and colonization in our system. Eve gently holds clients to their values and cradles them in compassion, radicalism, humanity, and hope for their future. Eve is excited to co-create something personal and meaningful.
Eve is an alum of the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis Fellowship Program as well as a current instructor. Eve is a recipient of the 2020 CHNA 17 award for Black/African American-identifying individuals in the mental health field. Eve is trained in Exposure Response and Prevention therapy. Eve graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Psychology from Lasell University. Eve has earned a Master's in Clinical Social Work from the Boston College School of Social Work with a Trauma certificate.
Outside of the therapeutic space, Eve likes sharing with nature, gardening and horticulture, laughing with loved ones, and playing video games.
Eve is fluent in English, receptive in Jamaican Patwa, and proficient in ASL.
