Kathryn Ferlisi, LMHC (She/Her)
Kate is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist at And Still We Rise, LLC. She provides individual therapy specializing in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and identity development. She is passionate about working with queer and trans clients and affirming all aspects of a client's identity. Kate believes in meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to support them in recognizing and building off of their strengths.
Kate’s theoretical orientation is humanistic, trauma informed, and rooted in social justice. She integrates multiple therapeutic approaches including client-centered, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapies. She strives to create spaces with her clients that feel safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental rooted in cultural humility, accountability, and affirmation of the intersectionality of identities. Kate strongly believes in embracing self-compassion, self-reflection and community building.
Kate received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stonehill College. Kate has experience working with clients from diverse cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds and mental health histories in various settings including individual therapy and group facilitation.
Kate’s favorite interests include women’s basketball, musicals including Fun Home and Wicked, and music by MUNA and Joy Oladokun.
