Alicja Majer, LICSW (She/They)

Psychotherapist for And Still Be Rise, Mx. Majer is an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Massachusetts and Florida, as well as credentialed in Florida as a Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional. Mx. Majer received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Social Work degree from Barry University.

As a queer immigrant, Mx. Majer understands the importance of affirming and empowering care supporting the emotional, mental, and social well-being of underserved populations. Originating from a background of studies in art and design, Mx. Majer has a passion for authenticity, helping each individual take a mindful and creative approach to living.

Mx. Majer provides trauma-informed care, while utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and solution-based approaches to grant individualized and empathy-driven care to her clients. Mx. Majer brings experience from across multi-disciplinary roles encompassing human resources, clinical program development, organizational operations including auditing, state licensing, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Over the last seven years Mx. Majer had the privilege of working within the behavioral health field, supporting families and individuals of all ages from diverse backgrounds, with a big focus on the LGBTQ+ community faced with substance use and co-occurring disorders. She possesses an innate understanding of what is needed to create an inclusive, affirming, and strength based climate.

When not working, Mx. Majer takes joy in the outdoors; hiking, foraging, and going camping. Mx. Majer’s secondhand library includes books that are overpouring with dried greenery that often end up composed into gifts for friends and family. When not in nature, Mx. Majer loves listening to a variety of music and podcasts while lounging with her cats Ares and Cosmos.
