Amina Awad, LCSW (She/Her)

Amina is a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist at And Still We Rise. She holds a bachelor's in Art History and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Williams College, and a master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston College with a concentration in Afro-centric practice.

Amina utilizes the relational and liberatory modality of Narrative Therapy, coupled with a decolonial lens that centers the impact of radicalized and vicarious trauma.

Amina is committed to working with and empowering LGBTQ+ Muslims, BIPOC, and immigrant communities. She envisions healing and therapy as a means of connecting to communities and clients through storytelling. Her approach  to therapy leans into the Palestinian tradition of storytelling as a means of resistance and connection.  Through therapy, Amina honors each client's struggle, triumph, resilience, joy, and story.

Outside of her professional life, Amina can be found watering one of her fifty plants, writing YA fiction and engaging in Palestine community organizing.

Amina is fluent in and can provide therapy in Arabic.
