Danica Williams (She/They)

Danica Williams is a Liberation Consultant at And Still We Rise and a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) therapist in a group practice. With experience in community, special education support in public schools, and outpatient therapy in both non-profit and private settings, Danica brings a broad and nuanced understanding of mental health systems and the interconnected needs of individuals and communities.  They enjoy working with clients of all ages and are committed to developmentally responsive, culturally attuned care. Their clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed approaches, integrating polyvagal theory, systems theory, and interpersonal neurobiology. As a consultant, Danica sees their role as a vital bridge connecting clinical insight to systemic change—advocating for liberatory, anti-oppressive practices that align micro-level healing with macro-level support and impact.

Rooted in critical and intersectional frameworks and shaped by their lived experience as a queer and neurodivergent clinician, Danica integrates ACT, DBT, narrative therapy, somatic practices, and liberation health to support healing and growth. Their work is deeply informed by both lived and collective wisdom, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens in both personal and structural contexts. Danica holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Committed to fostering both holistic individual and collective well-being, she believes that healing is both deeply personal and inherently political. Originally from Somerville, Massachusetts, they now reside in Portland, Oregon, with their partner, dog, and two cats. Outside of work, Danica enjoys cooking (always measure with your heart!), photography, scrapbooking, cozy gaming, hula hooping, and spending time in nature

Danica is fluent in English.
