Tamara Maurice, LCSW (She/Her)

Tamara Maurice, a Haitian, Black woman, is a dedicated Psychotherapist at And Still We Rise, committed to guiding individuals through healing, developing effective life strategies, and celebrating every success—big or small.

Her practice is built on a foundation of curiosity, compassion, empathy, and a deep respect for the dignity and worth of every person. She is committed to co-creating brave, safe, and non-judgmental therapeutic spaces where clients can process their experiences. Drawing on her diverse and trauma-informed background, Tamara provides a welcoming presence that supports clients as they navigate complex emotions.

Holding a Master's in Social Work from Simmons University and certification in trauma-informed practice, Tamara specializes in supporting BIPOC, Queer, and other marginalized individuals. As a person with multiple social identities, she is uniquely equipped to understand and address the complexities of navigating cultural, generational, and racial identity conflicts, particularly for first-generation individuals and people of color in America. Her academic background includes a B.A. in Criminal Justice and studies in Child Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Tamara is bilingual and bicultural, fluent in English and intermediate in Haitian/Creole, which allows her to connect with a wider community.

Outside of her practice, she enjoys PC gaming, watching scary movies and reality TV, working out, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
