Tori Carver (She/Her/Hers)
Tori Carver (she/her/hers) is a Doctoral Student Trainee for And Still We Rise. Taking care to listen, deeply and openly, is at the forefront of Tori’s work. She attunes to the ways in which systems of power influence wellbeing, and she believes that healing is a relational process. For these reasons, Tori intentionally honors the client’s lived experiences with the aim of co-creating a therapeutic space that empowers and liberates. She is passionate about supporting people with navigating sexuality and complex trauma. Blending empathy, curiosity, and tasteful humor into her approach, Tori is dedicated to working with individuals, couples, and polyamorous structures.
Tori holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Oregon State University. She completed a Master’s in Professional Psychology at William James College, and she continues her doctoral studies there in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in LGBTQIA+ mental health. Tori has six years of experience working in the healthcare field. She primarily infuses psychodynamic, humanistic, and multicultural feminist frameworks into her clinical work.
Tori is an avid volleyball player and coach. She loves coffee and anything music related – singing, dancing, and concert-going, to name a few. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, sharing laughter with friends, and caring for her two cats.
